My name is Sarah, and I grew up in London in a multicultural environment that since childhood has fuelled my curiosity and desire to understand diversity in the world and between people. This is why I chose to pursue studies in language and psychology that would help me to be in contact with people.
I graduated from the University of Padua with a degree in Applied Cognitive Psychology, I deepened my clinical knowledge through experience in the Psychiatry Department and Mental Health Department in Catania, Italy. Dealing with a wide range of inpatients and users, l gained experience in both individual and group assessment and intervention.
You are a person motivated to change and ready to invest your energy in discovering the best version of yourself.
You are going through a time of crisis and wish to get your thoughts, plans and priorities in order.
You are looking for support to help you find the right motivation and energy to put healthy habits into action.
You need to process a painful event and openly experience the emotions connected with it in a safe space.
-  Get the support you need right now: Even if you’re not ready to deal with really difficult issues, psychological counselling can provide strategies and support for your immediate needs. You can always address deep issues at a later time when you feel more comfortable doing so.Â
- Relieving pressure: Often, people feel better after getting some things off their chest in a safe space. You may feel a sense of relief for having started to open up about your problems.
- Establish a relationship: Starting out on a healing journey, even if it progresses very slowly, still provides you with a lifeline when you really need it. You have the opportunity to establish a strong relationship that grows and supports you as you develop. Then, if bigger problems arise, you have a safety net to survive and cope with difficult times.
During the first interview we will get to know each other and together we will go on to identify the reasons for your request, the critical issues you are experiencing, and what the resources might be to overcome them in health.
Learn what is normal: a psychological interview can help you understand what feelings are typical of your circumstances. Not talking about an issue can exacerbate the problem itself and diminish the repertoire of solutions available to you. In some cases it can be reassuring to know that you are not the only one facing this kind of difficulty or that your reactions to stress make sense.
